Pole at Monaco in 1978
Leading until taken out (“socked into the barrier”) by Elio de Angelis on lap 17 at the station hairpin. Alain Prost finished 4th in the Martini.
Gaillard won the next race at Imola and at the Nurburgring.

I bought the car from Hugh Mellor in 1998 and the car has been run by Dave Harwood of Road and Stage Motorsport for most of the time.
I competed in the CF3 regularly between 1999 and 2002 with many top three finishes.
The car was very competitive with championship 5th in 2000, 4th in 2001 and 2nd in 2002.
Class wins at Spa in 2001 and Gold cup in 2002.

Complete chassis renovation by Dennis Aldred (ex Chevron) in 2005 and major engine rebuild by Paul Broadway of Ridgeway racing Engines in 2011.
Only one race since at the Gold Cup in 2011 (6th place).
The car has been professionally stored at RSM ever since.
Three sets of rims.
Two nose cones.
Spare rear wing and some other body sections.
Spare roll bar and some engine spares.
Belts and extinguisher out of date.
FIA papers were completed by Marcus Pye in 2002.
